Dr. Lediya Dumessa, PhD, Licensed Clinical Psychologist
Dr. Lediya Dumessa is a licensed clinical psychologist at the Washington Anxiety Center of Capitol Hill in Washington, DC. She specializes in trauma-informed care, anxiety disorders, and maternal mental health. Much of her work has centered on advancing Black maternal mental health through training, research and media. Dr. Dumessa has also had the opportunity to work in clinical practice, teach, and collaborate across disciplines. Dr. Dumessa is strongly driven by engaging with communities and helping to improve mental health outcomes for mothers and families who are often underserved.
