Satisfaction Survey: "Understanding and Supporting Black Clients: A Primer Course on Intergenerational Trauma for Clinicians"

Course Objectives: Participants will learn about the foundations of trauma, including the stress response system and the history of trauma theory. Participants will learn about the limitations of our current conceptualization of trauma and the way intergenerational trauma impacts our clients. Participants will be introduced to two culturally focused models working with African American counselors with intergenerational trauma. Participants will be able to identify and summarize the foundations of trauma, including the stress response system and the history of trauma theory.
